Triumph Integrated Systems’ Isle of Man facility in Onchan has taken delivery of a new piece of equipment as part of an investment programme to support the growing demand for the Airbus A320 aircraft.

Airbus has ramped up their aircraft production build rate to satisfy a large and growing order book for the A320.

Triumph Integrated Systems in Onchan are a key supplier into Airbus, providing the landing gear actuation systems for this aircraft. To meet the new build, rate Triumph have invested in a number of new machines required to manufacture the components.

The machine pictured is a Makino Wire EDM used in the production of components for the landing gear locking mechanism. This major investment programme which will continue over the next few months has been supported by Isle of Man Government’s Department for Enterprise (DfE) as part of the Financial Assistance Scheme.

Triumph Integrated Systems in Onchan is a member of the Isle of Man Aerospace Cluster (IOMAC), which is supported by Business Isle of Man (Executive Agency of the DfE).
